Kerkdorp-Polderdorp is a book diptych about two Dutch villages that are in many ways as far apart as possible. St, Odiliënberg is the place I grew up in in the south east of the Netherlands, Kreileroord is a small village in the north west of the Netherlands. The former has an old Roman Catholic church built on a hill already occupied by the Romans, the latter was built from scratch in a polder after the second world war. The books both combine photographs made by me with images found in local personal and institutional archives.
